THE UNFILTERED PURITY OF WILD HONEY

Sep 16, 2020

Unlike the honey that is produced in bee boxes, wild honey is collected from natural beehives on cliffs or trees amidst deep forests. Wild honeybees choose their nests on trees or cliffs rather than open spaces. These bees get the nectar from wild flora in pollution free forests surrounded by fresh air.  Most of them get nectar from medicinal plants like ashwagandha, carom flowers, eucalyptus, gooseberry, neem, brahmi, lemon, tulsi and sesame among other plants, blossoming during different seasons. It is said that honeybees can visit around 50 - 1000 flowers on one trip of 30 minutes to four hours.

Nectar is a sweet secretion from plants' flowers, stems and leaves. It is watery and consists of fructose, glucose and sucrose besides traces of proteins and essential oils. Sugar content varies depending on soil and climatic conditions.  The bee in the wild extract nectar from a variety of plants and stores in the honey sac inside its body, where it gets combined with special enzymes. Once it returns to the hive in the wild, it regurgitates the nectar and passes it to more bees. As each bee sucks up the liquid, the nectar is deposited in a cell of the honeycomb. The water content gradually evaporates with the bees using their wings to fan around the honeycomb. The nectar becomes honey. At this point, the bees cap the honey by secreting a liquid over the honeycomb. This liquid hardens and becomes beeswax which keeps the moisture and air away from honey. A sustainable measure might be used to separate the bees from honeycomb. A hot knife is used to cut away the beeswax to extract honey. Once beeswax is unsealed, the honey drips out of the comb. The colour, aroma and thickness of honey depend on flowers that bees forage on.

Health benefits of wild honey:

  1. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory
  2. Treats wounds and bacterial infections
  3. Effective cough medication
  4. Reduces the risk of stroke
  5. Helps weight loss

Nature's sweet and best medicine

Wild honey is produced from the nectar of medicinal flowers and plants in dense forests. It has a fine texture and appears a bit cloudier consisting of bee pollen particles and bits of honeycomb. Sometimes it may be processed to eliminate impurities. Studies have proven that wild honey is proven to be a great remedy for cough in addition to boosting immunity, giving instant energy, and a host of health benefits. Full of nutrients, vitamins, amino acids, minerals, antioxidants, wild honey is nature's sweet condiment and the best medicine. When you buy wild honey, make sure it is 100 percent pure. It is usually thicker in consistency. One can melt the crystals by placing the bottle in warm water. The high temperature will make honey into liquid form, but care must be taken not to overheat as that will destroy all the nutrients and health benefits.

On Nature's Box www.naturesbox.in , you will find an exotic selection of Trueney honey, the pure natural honey that is gently gathered from natural beehives in dense forests, tested by certified labs for purity and vitality and hygienically packed.
